Job Title: Technical Writer

About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled Technical Writer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate has a passion for turning complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to create documentation that helps internal teams, customers, or end-users better understand our products and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, API documentation, FAQs, knowledge base articles, and product guides.
Translate technical information into engaging and easy-to-understand content for various audiences.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, customer support, and marketing teams to gather and clarify complex information.
Create content for both internal and external users, including onboarding materials, training guides, and release notes.
Organize documentation logically using tools like Confluence, Notion, or Markdown-based systems.
Adhere to documentation style guides and contribute to developing content standards.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a tech-forward environment.
Proven ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.
Familiarity with tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or documentation tools like Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience writing API or SDK documentation.
Background in software engineering or IT.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS, XML, or Markdown.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub).
